What Affects Drain Cleaning Cost

No two clogs cost the same to clear — here's what actually moves the number.

Clog location and depth

A clog a few feet into a single fixture drain is a quick job. A blockage deep in a main line, or one that requires clearing from a cleanout further from the house, takes more time and equipment access.

Method required

Cable snaking is generally less expensive than hydro jetting, since jetting equipment and the thoroughness of the service both add time. We recommend whichever method actually fixes the problem, not the cheaper option if it won't hold.

Access and property type

A single-family home with an accessible cleanout is the simplest case. Multi-unit buildings, older homes with hard-to-reach lines, or commercial kitchens with grease-heavy lines all add labor time.

Timing

Scheduled daytime service is typically the most economical. Same-day or after-hours emergency response costs more, reflecting the priority dispatch.

Every job gets an honest, on-site assessment before we quote — no fixed-price guesswork. See our drain cleaning page or call for a free estimate.
